University of Isfahan Expands Ties with Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU)

As part of its strategic international outreach, the University of Isfahan paid an official visit to Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU)—a prestigious Chinese institution renowned for its specialization in language education, international cultural exchange, and teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
Dr. Amiryousefi, President’s Consultant and Director of the Office for International Scientific Cooperation, met with the President of BLCU, accompanied by a group of faculty members and directors. The meeting focused on deepening academic cooperation and initiating joint cultural and educational projects.
This visit resulted in major collaborative initiatives, including:
• The establishment of a Confucius Institute at the University of Isfahan, aimed at promoting Chinese language and culture in Iran;
• The creation of an Iranian Studies Center at BLCU in collaboration with the University of Isfahan, to enhance Chinese scholars’ understanding of Iranian language, literature, and culture;
• The development of a Chinese Studies Center at the University of Isfahan, supporting the academic and cultural presence of China in Iran.
Both universities expressed strong interest in further expanding academic ties through joint programs, student and faculty exchanges, and collaborative research in humanities and language studies.
The University of Isfahan continues to strengthen its international academic footprint by forming dynamic partnerships with leading institutions around the world. These initiatives are part of the university’s broader vision to foster intercultural dialogue, enhance global academic presence, and offer rich opportunities for cross-cultural learning and cooperation.
