Scientific Visit of Dr. Ehsan Sedgh-Gooya, Professor at ISEN France, to the University of Isfahan and Exploration of International Collaboration Opportunities

On April 19, 2025 (30 Farvardin 1404), Dr. Ehsan Sedgh-Gooya, a professor at ISEN France and a researcher specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and image processing, visited the University of Isfahan to explore potential scientific, research, and technological collaborations. The visit included specialized meetings, a scientific lecture, and tours of innovation centers and technology companies based at the university.

During the visit, Dr. Sedgh-Gooya, accompanied by university officials, toured the Innovation Zone, the Incubation Center, and several technology companies hosted by the University of Isfahan, including Behkavosh, Ideh-Pajouhan Espadana, Tesla Power Iranian, among others. The visit, attended by faculty members, technologists, and startup teams, showcased existing capacities in artificial intelligence, network security, electric vehicles, and brushless motors, with discussions focusing on potential collaborative solutions.

Additionally, a meeting was held with directors and faculty members from the Faculties of Engineering and Computer Engineering, where topics such as doctoral student exchanges, joint research project definitions, utilization of international financial support, and internship opportunities for students from both universities were discussed. Faculty members from the University of Isfahan also proposed the possibility of conducting research fellowships at ISEN France.

Subsequently, Dr. Sedgh-Gooya delivered a scientific lecture titled “Privacy at the Heart of Face Recognition: Secure Architecture Utilizing Artificial Intelligence” in the Bra’ani Hall of the Faculty of Computer Engineering, which was well received by professors and students.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Sedgh-Gooya’s proposal to serve as an adjunct professor with the Faculties of Engineering and Computer Engineering was presented, and both parties emphasized the continuation of scientific communications, identification of new collaboration areas, and the development of joint projects.

Dr. Ehsan Sedgh-Gooya’s visit to the University of Isfahan represents a significant step toward strengthening international scientific relations, leveraging shared research capacities, and expanding technological cooperation with reputable academic institutions in Europe.
